De-escalation Strategies

All sorts of people —  law enforcement officers, nurses, flight attendants, call center employees and more — are asked to deal with people who are very upset. Often, they are asked to help these people calm down. Researchers at the University of Chicago are seeking to compile de-escalation strategies from a wide range of fields and professionals. Our goal is to compile a menu of all of these strategies to make available across the disciplines and professions.
